Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Antiquarian John Hutchins noted that Mangerton was once two manors, one of them having a chapel of ease to Netherbury, the chapel being long since ruined. This location has been suggested as the site of the chapel, stones and traces of mortar having been found here. A field investigator for the Ordnance Survey visited in 1955 and could see no evidence of a building.
