Full Description
Bindon Mill stands on the supposed site of the old monastic mill; the diversion of the water to the mill being effected by the construction of Stony Weir. <2>
The present mill was probably constructed in the 18th century and there is no dateable evidence of the former mill. <3>
Bindon Mill, house and water-mill with rubble walls is of Medieval origin and incorporates a pointed archway in the east wall of the house. Cut on a voussoir of this arch is the date 1770 to which date much of the present structure belongs. The water-wheel and later turbine have been removed. <5>
