Summary

An infant burial was found in a shallow grave cut in the floor in the southwest corner of Room 6 of the Roman Town House, Building I, at Colliton Park, Dorchester.

Full Description

Infant Burial 4 was one of a number found associated with the Roman Town House, Building I, at Colliton Park during excavations in 1937-8. It was found in a scoop in the southwest corner of Room 6 in the South Range (1). The remains of a single infant were recovered (2).
