Summary

An isolated Early Neolithic pit was found by AC archaeology during works at Dorchester Middle School, Coburg Road, Dorchester in 1998. This pit lay to the southwest of the hengiform pit ring monument. It contained a large quantity of flint debitage and half of an Early Neolithic pot, together with some bone fragments.

Full Description

An isolated Early Neolithic pit was found by AC archaeology during works at Dorchester Middle School, Coburg Road, Dorchester in 1998 (1) (2). This pit (Pit 306) lay to the southwest of the hengiform pit ring monument. It contained a large quantity of flint debitage and half of an Early Neolithic pot, together with some bone fragments.
