Summary
A number of Roman graves were discovered during the archaeological evaluation of the site of the former Olds Garage, 55 Bridport Road, Dorchester by Context One Archaeological Services in 2006. Grave 231 was only exposed in the section of Trench 2. It had concave sides and a rounded base and contained a number of human skull fragments. This may be part of another Late Roman grave lying just to the north of grave 206, with the head of the skeleton to the west.

Full Description
A number of Roman graves were discovered during the archaeological evaluation of the site of the former Olds Garage, 55 Bridport Road, Dorchester by Context One Archaeological Services in 2006.
Grave 231 was only exposed in the section of Trench 2. It had concave sides and a rounded base and contained a number of human skull fragments. This may be part of another Late Roman grave lying just to the north of grave 206, with the head of the skeleton to the west.
