Full Description
Ploughed out; only a very faint scarp visible on the ground. This earthwork was not a valley enclosure, and may have been analagous to the Church Hill enclosure at Piddletrenthide of unknown date. <2>
Only unsurveyable traces of this earthwork may be seen in a stubble covered field, and it may now be considered as site. The relationship between the earthwork and the field system (SY 69 NE 12) could not be determined. <3>
(SY 69709664). Enclosure now destroyed by ploughing formerly lay immediately west of New Buildings, on the crest of an east-west spur, and consisted of a rectangular area of circa 1/2 acre, bounded by a bank and an external ditch on the west, south and east sides, and by a ditch only on the north. There was no entrance. It lies in close, but indeterminable, relationship to `Celtic' fields. <4>
