A Roman coin was found by Cpl. Roper at 19 Single Quarters, Poundbury, Dorchester in 1954. Farrar Number 4 (1954), described as minim (8mm flan.) DCM 1954.28 well worn. Obverse inscription: illegible Obverse description: radiate Reverse Inscription: illegible Reverse Description: not visible. Mint: illegible
