Full Description

A Roman coin was found by Mr. Lamb at HM Prison, Dorchester in 1953. This was described as an AE of Constantine I (AD308-324). Obverse: IMP CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG (Helm. bust cuir. r.) Reverse: VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC [PERP] (2 victories holding shield inscribed VOT P XX). Mint Mark: PLN (London). (1)
