Full Description

A silver coin of Philip Augustus dated AD240 [sic] was found at Maumbury Rings in the late nineteenth century and said to be in the possession of Mr Pownall of Lincoln. (1) [Philip I issued coins from AD244 until 249, so the quoted date is incorrect.]
