Full Description
A large quantity of clay tobacco pipes (39 bowls, 50 stem fragments) were found behind the Antelope Hotel in April 1974. These included three large bowls with large wedge-shaped bases; six spurred bowls of late 17th-early 18th century date; four pipes with a large bowl and small base, with initials BS where the bowl joins the stem, dated to c. 1680-1730; and 26 other plain bowls of the same shape.
