Summary

A Baptist chapel built in 1830 but with later alterations. The building is of stone rubble with brick dressings, and the curved east front, which faces the street, is covered with stucco.

Full Description

(SY 69549075). Former Baptist Chapel at the junction of Salisbury Street and High Street Fordington was built in 1830 and consists of a stone rubble building with brick dressings and a slightly bowed east front faced with stucco. A baptistery under the floor has been filled in. (1) Kingdom Hall (formerly Old Baptist Chapel) in Salisbury Street is of two storeys with stucco front and rusticated quoin pilasters dated 1830. (2)
