This oven was constructed on top of the demolition deposits of a 2nd century AD Roman building. The oven comprised a semi-circular arrangement of mortared limestone blocks, 0.75m across. To the east was the remains of a roughly triangular firing floor 2.3m long and 0.2m deep, which was filled with dark greyish-brown and orange ash, which also filled the central part of the oven structure. On stratigraphic grounds, this oven is probably of late 2nd or 3rd century AD date.
