Summary

P. Aitken conducted a small excavation at the rear of 26-28 High Street, Christchurch, during 1973. This excavation was subsequently published as a short note in DNHAS monograph 5 (1). The excavation revealed a late post medieval surface of mill stones. These have been deposited in the Red House Museum.
