Geophysical survey during 1990 on ground to the east of Abbey House and south of the abbey car park, Abbotsbury revealed a discrete area in thecentre of the site with some evidence for a small former structure. Anomalies in this area hinted at the presence of former wall lines which may match up with another possible structure further east against the eastern precinct boundary of the abbey. However, the evidence is somewhat conjectural and no clear form of the structure can be discerned.
