Summary
Site, now backfilled and developed for housing. Quarry worked on and off from mid-C18 onwards. A first small quarry in 1745 had grown by 1800. It was marked (possibly disused) on a map of 1863 and had not expanded by 1889 when it was an ‘old quarry’. Still a ‘disused quarry’ in 1959.
