Monument record MDO1949 - Bowl barrow on East Hill, Piddletrenthide, Known as Cills Barrow.

Summary
A bowl barrow with a mound which is 20m in diameter and a maximum of 0.6m high. It is located on a field boundary and to the west of the hedge it has been levelled by ploughing. Barrow known my muliple names including, Schilleburgh or Schilleburghe and Ceols Barrow.

Full Description
A bowl-barrow that is almost ploughed out. Probably the "Schilleburghe" of a charter of AD 891. <2>
Situated at ST 70690090 on a ridge top in arable farmland are the remains of a once substantial barrow. It has been reduced by ploughing to a low ground swelling 20.0m east to west 18.0m north to south and up to 0.4m high.
Poorly defined on OS air photographs <4.1-4.2>. It was not possible to confirm the name "Schilleburghe".
Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
