Summary
Restored ground, now a levelled field with hollows. By 1926 there was a quarry here, with two rail sidings. The quarry was still active in 1960. The quarry is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s.

Restored ground, now a levelled field with hollows. By 1926 there was a quarry here, with two rail sidings. (1) The quarry was still active in 1960. (2)
The early- to mid-20th century Cottonfields Limestone quarry, described above in (1-2), is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The quarry was plotted to its extent seen in this period and is visible over an area measuring approximately 250 m by 130 m. (3) The quarry is shown as being filled in on aerial imagery of 2009. (4) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
