Small quarry with channelled face, early C20.
The limestone quarry described above is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Old Coastguard Cottages. The quarry measures approximately 50 m by 20 m. (1) The site is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
