Saw Mill (stone) in 1889 (1) and in 1901 when there was a travelling crane. (2) Apparently disused by 1926-7 when the building beside Easton Lane was named Saw Mill Tavern. (3) Still named thus in 1959 but the area behind was laid out as ‘works’, with a crane. (4) Site is now (2007) a motor works (garage) with industrial units behind. Some of the buildings of 1959 may survive. The Saw Mill Tavern has been demolished. A short distance north along Easton Lane, the former office block of Stewards/Bath & Portland Stone Firms Ltd may be part of this stone works. (Site IP87)
