Built in 1855 by John Coode for Admiralty, water piped to reservoir near Folly Pier and to breakwater. 'Chene Pump' with disused tank on shore below, shown on 1863 map. 'Chene Pumping Station (Admiralty Waterworks)' marked with a chimney on 1901 map. Marked but not named in 1926 map revision. Some structure remains.
