Clock tower of 1907. Hammer-dressed stone blocks with ashlar dressings; lead spire. Prominent on south side of gardens of Easton Square. Bronze plaque on north side records: ‘PORTLAND URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL This Clock was erected by Public Subscription and was unveiled and dedicated to the Public by HY. J. SANSOM ESQ. J.P. CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL ON May 21st. 1907’. (1) Listed Building. DDO13968.
