Numerous tipping places all along the edge of West Cliff, continuous from Tout Quarries, through Trade and into the area of Bowers Quarries. Tramways evidenced at floor level (at least one rail still in situ) and at a higher level, where they crossed the coastal track on crude bridges with walls constructed of large stone blocks.

Numerous tipping places all along the edge of West Cliff, continuous from Tout Quarries, through Trade and into the area of Bowers Quarries. Tramways evidenced at floor level (at least one rail still in situ) and at a higher level, where they crossed the stone quarriers' coastal track on crude bridges with walls constructed of large stone blocks. One example survives intact. The spoil lies spread in the form a scree slopes down to the shore below. (1) All quarries had masses of waste overburden dissected with tramway cuttings leading to the cliff edge. Apparently established well before 1863 after which very few tramways are shown still in existence on maps. (2)
