Summary

A stone-built culvert or drain of post-medieval date was exposed during a watching brief on works to form a new disabled car park and access ramp at Holy Trinity Church, Bradpole , undertaken by Terrain Archaeology in 2003. The stone-lined drain ran just inside the churchyard wall along Higher Road, before turning and continuing beneath Higher Road. This drain runs beneath the early 20th century churchyard wall and may be 19th century in date.

A stone-built culvert or drain of post-medieval date was exposed during a watching brief on works to form a new disabled car park and access ramp at Holy Trinity Church, Bradpole, undertaken by Terrain Archaeology in 2003. The stone-lined drain ran just inside the churchyard wall along Higher Road, before turning and continuing beneath Higher Road. This drain runs beneath the early 20th century churchyard wall and may be 19th century in date. Neither end of this drain or culvert was exposed. {1, 2}
