Full Description
A mesolithic core, six scrapers and one other lithic fragment were found at 'tween ways' in Sherborne. They are now held at the Dorset County Museum. Wymer does not give any further details on the date or circumstances of the discovery. Also Wymer gives the grid refernce as ST640160 and states that this is an accurate reference [1]. However, the name 'tween ways' suggests that the discoveries were made in the region of Tinney's Lane, especially because an evaluation in 1995 revealed evidence for a neolithic settlement at there.
