Full Description

A number of finds were recovered during drainage works at Beaminster School. These appeared to come from a backfilled pit, possibly a rubbish pit in the former garden of 'Sandhurst House', which dates from the mid-late 19th century. The finds included two sherds of locally made coarsewares, one sherd of 'fine ware' and an iron object - part of a strap with hook at end.
