Full Description
A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a number of probable round barrow sites, of Prehistoric or Roman date, seen as cropmarks southwest of Eweleaze Barn, at: A - SY 7071 9215 with three possible entrances (facing NW, E, S). <1>
Probable Bronze Age round barrow showing as a cropmark ring ditch 22m across on aerial photographs <2>. The site lies 266m to the west of a linear group of six barrows and may be an outlier to this barrow cemetery. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
