A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a number of probable round barrow sites, of Prehistoric or Roman date, seen as cropmarks southwest of Eweleaze Barn, at: … C - SY 7102 9211 … B, C and D are either cojoined or overlap. <1>
Probable Bronze Age round barrow showing as a cropmark ring ditch 26m across on aerial photographs <2> . The site is one of six possible barrows forming a linear barrow cemetery. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
