A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a number of probable round barrow sites, of Prehistoric or Roman date, seen as cropmarks southwest of Eweleaze Barn, at: … F - SY 7118 9200 apparently somewhat dislocated at possible entrances (NW, NE, S). <1>
Probable Bronze Age round barrow showing as a cropmarks on aerial photographs. The barrow is 37m across and is sub-oval in shape. It is one of six possible barrows forming a linear barrow cemetery. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <2>
