Full Description

SY 54649462. A bowl barrow; diameter 10 paces, height 3 1/2 feet. <2> One of a group of barrows which are grass covered, but on arable land,and have all been ploughed over in recent years. Barrow C: A flinty bowl barrow, with no visible ditch; the mound is slightly elongated in a northeast-southwest direction, and measures 9 metres by 7 metres, and has an average height of 0.7metres. <3> Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow on Eggardon Hill, forming part of a barrow cemetery. The barrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. <5>
