An enclosure surrounding a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow (MDO21328) is visible as a cropmark and earthwork on aerial photographs. It may be contemporary with the barrow or a later addition during the Iron Age/Romano-British period, when the barrow could have been reused or adopted by the Iron Age/Romano-British settlement (MDO1173) for which it appears to have been a focus. {1-2}
