Please read our .

Summary

Field boundaries visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and LIDAR. The features run parallel with the modern field pattern and are therefore likely to be medieval or later in date. Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but interpretation is suggestive that this may possibly represent disturbance associated with buried services.

Full Description

Field boundaries visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and LIDAR. {1-4} The features run parallel with the modern field pattern and are therefore likely to be medieval or later in date. Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but interpretation of presence within field 390 is suggestive that this may possibly represent disturbance associated with buried services; rather than a field system. In part of field MDO21409 lacks magnetic expression; whilst elsewhere it does have magnetic expression; resulting in the suggestion that it is questionable that the different elements grouped within the single HER monument are part of the same entity.
