Three banked features to the south-west of Muckleford Higher Barn are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs, possibly fragments of an Iron Age/Romano British field system (MDO431). Alternatively they could be spoil heaps associated with nearby post-medieval chalk pits (MDO21249). {1}
