Full Description
Fragments of banked field boundaries of probable Iron Age/Romano-British origin visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs. These features are likely to be contemporary with the possible Iron Age/Romano-British settlement (MDO21656) visible as cropmarks just to the south. The field system is overlain with parallel banks of ridge and furrow cultivation marks (MDO21643) indicative of re-use of this area during the medieval period. {1-5}
