Full Description

Hutchens records that the church, a little north of the manor house, consisted of a chancel, nave, north porch and tower. The chancel was Early English with a rude piscina. In the north wall was a fine cusped ogee arch. The chancel arch was Transitional Norman. The nave and west arch were Early English, but the tower was `modern'. <1> The church, repaired in 1842 <1> was destroyed about 1868, and a new one erected <3>. The site of this church is now grass covered, with no visible masonry. It falls within a cemetery; there is no building platform and the site is occupied by graves. <4>
