Summary

Pillbox surviving on western slopes of Charmouth, at the angle between several houses on Five Acres and Westcliff Road. The pillbox is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs.

Full Description

Pillbox surviving to rear of the garden of Jasmine Cottage, Five Acres, Charmouth. Shown on 2009 Ordnance Survey MasterMap. Overgrown. The site of a Second World War pillbox is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (1). The feature is no longer visible on the most recent aerial photographic imagery (2), the site being completely overgrown. The feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
