A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch maps epochs 1 and 2.(1)(2)
The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be mid-late nineteenth century.
The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.(3)
