Summary

A prehistoric ditch recorded during excavations in the garden of 17 Ropers Lane. The ditch had a U-shaped profile and its filling contained late Iron Age pottery.

Full Description

SY92078749. A ditch or pit around 5 feet deep was discovered and excavated in Tinker's Lane in 1953. It contained Iron Age 'C' pottery similar to that found by Mr Burr at Stoborough. These are also pieces of worked shale. <1-3>
