Earthworks of a medieval field system have been identified in fields at Puncknowle. The strip fields are divided by balks. (RCHM). Remains of strip fields are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs <2> and were digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
