The chalk pit described above in (1) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946, but appears to have been levelled at a later date. The pit measures approximately 46 m by 35 m. (2-3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
