A series of large extractive pits or quarries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1} to the south-east of Looke Farm. They are probably of post medieval date and associated with the adjacent lime kiln described in MDO2302. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
