Full Description

A fragmented field system and trackway of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south and west of Lower Kingston Russell Cottages {1-2}. Parallel features, probably the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as very low earthworks on LiDAR imagery {3}. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
