Full Description

The possible ste of a Bronze Age barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs {1-2} on the south side of Pitcombe Down. The mound is 7m across and lies within a known barrow cemetery although it may alternatively be the site of a post medieval spoil heap. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
