Full Description

A line of rectilinear structures visible on aerial photographs taken in 1940 at Bowleaze Cove {1}. They are larger than the anti-tank blocks described in MDO24321 and appear to be nissen huts however their linear formation and location indicate that they may form part of the same multiple line of WWII anti-invasion beach defences. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
