Summary

A 13th century parish church, with 15th century additions and alterations. The chancel and south chapel date to 1907-13. Nave, west porch, north and south transepts, chancel, south chapel. Rubble-stone and ashlar walls, with stone dressings.

Full Description

(ST 47200666) St. Mary's Church (NAT) (1) The church of Saint Mary at South Perrott is a magnificent cruciform structure of the 13th century. The west porch was added at the end of the 13th century, and the tower was rebuilt In the 15th century when the transepts were heightened. A south chapel was added in the early 16th century. The chancel and the south chapel were rebuilt in 1907-13. (2-4) St Mary's Church. Grade I. (5-6)
