Full Description
Fragments of a possible ring ditch, measuring approximately 24 metres in diameter, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs {3} and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. A Bronze Age bell barrow (MDO2045), since destroyed by quarrying, is recorded just to the south-west of this ring ditch {2-3}, suggesting that it could potentially be the remains of one and the same feature. It is situated 26 metres to the north-east of the coordinates for this bell barrow site.
