Full Description

A hollow of uncertain date and function is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs {1}. A tumuli is shown here on the modern OS map, possibly indicating the site of a Bronze Age barrow. This hollow may be related to this feature. Alternatively it could be the site of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project
