Full Description
A near circular depression, 11m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1} to the north-west end of Radipole Lake Nature Reserve. It is considered likely to be the site of a WWII bomb crater although an earlier extractive origin cannot be ruled out. The site is one of a number of bomb craters in the vicinity of Weymouth and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
