Full Description
Two near circular depressions, 6-8m across, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1} at Budmouth Avenue, Overcombe. They are considered likely to be the sites of two WWII bomb craters although an earlier extractive origin cannot be ruled out. The site is one of a number of bomb crater sites in the vicinity of Weymouth. They were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
