Full Description
Over 500 small square structures are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1940 and 1946 {1-2}, running along the sea-ward edge of the coast road from Overcombe to Weymouth. They are considered likely to be anti-tank blocks forming part of a multiple line of WWII beach defences. (See also MDO24821). The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
