Summary
A near circular hollow with external upcast of spoil is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. Whilst the site may be that of a post medieval extractive pit, its circular form is indicative of it being a WWII bomb crater.

Full Description
A near circular hollow (9m across) with external upcast of spoil is visible as earthworks on aerial photograph {1}. Whilst the site may be that of a post medieval extractive pit, it's circular form is indicative of it being a WWII bomb crater. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
